The Polish Microsoft Imagine Cup 2016 was held in Warsaw on the 12-13th April, in one spectacular day full of events, where StartUp Europe & TWIST Digital were among the main players and partners. Microsoft Imagine Cups are the world’s premier team technology competitions! Dream it, Build it, Live it!
Teams were challenged to use their imagination, energy and passion in order to create innovative applications, games and to integrate solutions that can change the way we live, work and play for the better. Microsoft Imagine Cups are all about bringing the future into the present, in a very original and dynamic way!
TWIST Digital and Microsoft Poland, partnering with DotConnect, had a long journey together through 2 Dev’s Kitchen formats www.devskitchen.com (a 24h proof of concept to test start up’s innovative ideas), Imagine Camps and a dedicated European Challenge on “Microsoft enabling technologies”, where 16 selected teams have been challenging themselves to pitch their ideas in the most appealing and convincing way by posting a video.
Only one could be the winner of the 48h business marathon in Rome hosted by LUISS EnLabs - The StartUp Factory and the Polish, Explicit Motion won the competition with its “Catch your perfect story! You, the night, nature, a sky full of stars and Explicit slider!”. The idea, which is already a prototype: Explicit Flow, an innovative and easy-to-use time slider created with a view to making timeless pictures.
Explicit Flow is rich in many options like Bluetooth control, recording of movement, time-lapse mode, video mode, inductive end-stops length calibration, PID controller, camera bulb operation controller so it doesn’t matter if you are just starting your adventure in time lapse or do this professionally. It helps you get timeless takes. The device is ready for real challenges. Three independent mounts guarantee perfect image quality even in uneven terrain. Professional recordings at your fingertips. Intelligent time lapses. The slider will measure the position of the camera and adjust the distance it must cover between shots. The carbon fiber used in our slider provides rigidity and lightness at the same time. It is exactly the same composite that was used in the latest Airbus. Not bad, huh? Bluetooth Low Energy, Windows Phone, iOS and Android Apps included!
